A Day in the Life of a New York Commuter

I know what your thinking…..lucky her, she gets to go into the big city everyday. The Big Apple, the city that never sleeps.  Well it does sleep and in fact it sleeps in front of me on the commuter train into the city, the New Haven Line.  Have a look at what I had to look at today. Handsome, sophisticated business man on his way to work.  At the end of the day, these are just normal people (OK, mixed in with Captains of Industry) trying to earn a living.

This second shot, not as clear as i wanted it to be but then again, I can’t risk my life for this blog, was the back side of a subway commuter and the exposure of his back hair growing out of his -shirt.  I feel for the guy, looks like he is wearing a man sweater under that red t-shirt…must be hot, and not in a sexy way. Time for some serious manscaping!

  1. Francine,

Love this! Thanks for sharing…it’s true: NYC jobs have so much glamour but the truth is, at the end of the day…there are no limos driving most of NY workers home. The reality is: the train and the drudgery of commuting!

  2. Ah the New Haven line! My favorite is the folks who just don’t seem to get that if you put your full coffee cup on the floor, it WILL tip and spill, thus creating puddles of coffee throughout the car. I never put my briefcase on the floor anymore.
